The town of Hailey was settled in 1881. In 1885 an application was submitted to charter the Hailey Lodge. Fires in downtown Hailey destroyed Masonic buildings twice. In 1936 the two-story brick building was built across the street from the 1885 Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
