The Shoshone County seat was relocated from Murray to Wallace in November of 1898. In 1905, the county purchased land and erected this courthouse. It was finished in 1907 ahead of the 1910 Fire and thankfully survived. The structure is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and still serves as the county courthouse.
