Once the largest grange in the state of Idaho, membership has dwindled in recent year, but the organization remains active in community work. The bulding was constructed in 1921 as the Freeman lake grade school, replacing a structure that burned. The hall was deeded to the grange in 1940, after the Freeman Lake School District consolidated with the Priest River school district.
