The Corbin Ditch Headgate is one of the most visible remnants of agricultural and irrigation history in the Post Falls area. It is located at Falls Park, which is the original area developed by the town founder, Frederick Post. This part borders Post’s original lumbering millsite, and envelopes early flour mill operation (Dart Brothers) and the hydroelectric development of Washington Water Power (now AVISTA). Water and waterpower were the basis of Post Falls’ early economic development.
