The 1901 Clock Cigar Shop opened originally as the town’s print shop for two newspapers (until 1919) when it was remodeled for a jewelry store whose owner erected a large clock on the sidewalk. During prohibition the historic main street building was a pool hall and card room, later a saloon and a cigar shop. It’s been vacant since the 1970’s but will soon be a part of main street again as volunteers are restoring this little place of many local memories.
