As the result of local interest, in 2002 the City of Ashton established an Archive that is now housed in the city hall building. The Archive houses photos, books, magazines, audio cassettes, VCR tapes, documents, maps and small memorabilia that reflect the history of Ashton and surrounding farming areas. The Archives group has used Heritage Trust funds to copy and organize newspapers and photos.
