Constructed in 1912, this building first was home to the Quong Chong Laundry. Later, the small brick structure was converted into a restaurant, the “Boulevard Lunch” and then became the well remembered “The Cub Tavern” in 1948, and in 1991 it took on a Basque fare as “Bar Gernika”. The Basque Museum & Cultural Center owns the building.
